Millionaires and big players of the city are starting to disappear each day. A new criminal is rising in this little town - Rein. But this isn't anything like the city has seen before. He is the shadow of Rein. "The VI" is what he calls himself.

The Rein Police Department loses hope in finding him, losing six prominent officers. Duke Helms, is a renowned detective. Duke is known for his extraordinary record. He solved the most twisted cases there ever had been. The hopes rise upon his arrival in the city. But the VI.. He just won't stop playing games..

Day by day, Duke starts to break down by his failure. The case gets twisted each time he tries to touch The VI. Duke is not ready to give up. Every day, he daydreams of The VI handing him a lantern.. A lantern to walk down the darkest roads of the city. Will Duke ever be able to crack down this case? Will Duke ever find answers to the questions torturing him?
