Carry Ainsley is a normal, average student at Upton High School in Vermont. When her mother, an old actress from Scotland, announces that they'd have a new addition to the household, Carry doesn't know what to expect.

When Curtis Macentire steps into the Ainsley household, he has no clue how much trouble he's in for when he sets his eyes in Carry. 

Matthew is the new stable hand for the Ainsleys. When fate brings them together at a school dance, he falls in love with Carry.

Miles Falk is an old flame of Carry's. When he returns from military academy, he tries to win Carry's heart back.
