McKensie (Kenny) Schmidt loved music. She was known as "THEE alto-two" in her choir class at school.

She and her friends Jenni Diamond, Carly Garcia, and Lauren Mitchell dreamed of becoming a huge band and live in a fancy penthouse in the Palm Woods.

But little did they know, that their fathers, Kendall Schmidt, James Diamond, Carlos Garcia, and Logan Mitchell, lived the life that their daughters wished to have.

When Kenny and her mother, Jo, are cleaning the house, Kenny comes across a few albums from a band called Big Time Rush in the attic. After listening to every album, Kenny just cannot stop singing their songs. She introduces them to her friends and they start posting covers of them singing covers of Big Time Rush to YouTube and get discovered by Gustavo Rocqué.
