Eloise, our main character, isn't really what you call hero-material. She doesn't really know how to take care of a lot of things, but also hadn't really felt the need to. She has lived in a wealthy environment for as long as she can remember and grown ignorant and careless to the rest of the world. The only thing she has ever done is enjoy her village life, as an human who didn't grow taller than an ordinary dwarf. She has never even thought about stepping into the world and learn a few new things about life.
But Eloise wasn't left with much of a choice when her father sends her on a voyage to her sister in Edoras, to find a man suitable for marriage.
While she's only in the beginning of her travels she overhears somethings she shouldn't have and is forced to accompany Thorin Oakenshield with his group of 13 dwarves a hobbit and a wizard. They're on a quest to reclaim the ancient city of Erebor which is taken by the dragon Smaug. Although reluctant this might be the right surprise for Eloise to become what's she's really worth. Follow her and the company as they go on this adventure that becomes more dangerous and important than anyone of them had eventually thought.

"You talk too much elf-boy," Arya muttered, her voice hoarse from all the screaming she had done due to the pain of her injuries. Legolas scrunched up his nose in disdain of the nickname, but a smile soon found his way onto his face. "I am not a boy." Her eyes opened then, and her familiar hazel eyes met his striking blue ones. A small smile made itself present on her face as she looked at him, a twinkle of mischief evident in her eyes.
