She screamed. She screamed bloody murder, holding her head and crying at the same time. It was nerve racking, even for me, seeing someone go through this. I've seen awful things the thousands of years I've lived and yet nothing like this. Nina screamed so loudly my ears were beginning to ring, ready to bleed. To think I've gotten used to this.
Lucas and Jaymes hunched over, covering their ears with their hands. Nina continued to wail but they became muffled when I held her closer into me. She was mumbling words I couldn't understand in between screams, begging for something I couldn't quite catch. I'm supposed to be a demon of hell and even yet this scares me shitless. While looking at her when she's in a normal state you would never guess that she'd go into these fits.
I had to hold her because if I didn't, she'd hurt herself. Then she began hitting me. Nina squirmed in my arms, screaming louder. I only lost grip for a second, but a second was all it took for her to be on the ground, trying to crawl away. Nina shrieked like she was being tortured, but she was only hurting herself while she was digging her nails in her skin. Her eyes were filled with terror.
"Hold her!" I yell over her screams.
Jaymes was the closest. I didn't want to see him touch her but I really didn't have much of a choice. Through a bit of a struggle, he managed to pull her into him. She cried and pleaded quietly and still tried to fight out from his arms. I watched her tensely until her breathing became short, sharp, and quick. Then was getting towards the end. It took three minutes at most until her body went completely limp. Her head fell back and her eyes closed.
When the truth comes out, there's nowhere left to run.
Season 3 of Eliona's War
***
When Seth received a new virtual reality video game from his uncle, he wasn't expecting to get swept up into a whole new world called Eliona. As it turned out, Eliona and its people are far more dangerous than Seth could ever have imagined. There is a real consequence to playing this game: it's changing him, and it might not be for the better.
Now that Seth/Severance knows the truth of Eliona, there's no going back. Eliona is dying, and in order to save it, he needs to beat a very difficult dungeon before anyone else does. And on Earth, things are even worse. It's come to light that Eliona is leaving a mark on its players, and suddenly, everyone wants to be involved. Players find themselves with a target on their back, and Seth? He might just have the biggest one of all.
Too bad for them, he's done running.
