This is the Prologue short story of Rashad Willis. He's seventeen with a complex and complicate life.
His mother Natasha had him when she was sixteen and is dead set on him not repeating her mistakes.
His father Eric walked out on them to join the Army before he was even born and is constantly in and out of his life.
His father's former best friend Jerell is his mother's current best friend and their relationship is more than what it seems.
Jerell the dirty cop is the only father figure Rashad has ever known and always has his back right or wrong.
His best friend is making moves in the streets.
His ex girl won't leave his new girl alone.
He has jealous friends who aren't really friends and beef with niggas checking for his girl. Add all that when there's the decision to pick a college, being in his senior year.
