Skylar Heart has been through a lot in the 16 years she's lived. Her father is an abusive, alcoholic rapist who lost custody and was sent to jail. She lives with her mother and 2 siblings. She's overprotective of her little brother mostly, so when Drake Anderson, jock and Mr. Popular, hurts Levi during school, she goes off of him. After being suspended from school but happy her brother is safe, she returns home with her mom and brother only to get shocking news later that night. Drake Anderson's father is now Skylar's soon-to-be stepfather. Can anything make it worse? Yes it can. Drake forces her to be his girlfriend and her father has been released from jail and is coming for a visit. Will she get through everything and find true love?
