The Future

thousands of years in the future people need air masks to even bearth in the future not only because of pollution "Thanks to past mistakes" but gone are the poller ice caps and most cities are now underwater. To save the human race a group of scientists go to the past. So they can set up their own city and using all the knowledge of the people from the future to research ways to save the earth and humanity from themselves.

Is a lot different than the future. In this world the only thing you need to know is survival. That means three things, 

1. Hunt, eat, live
2. Know your place, The wealthy are powerful
3. Your Weakness Will Be Your Undoing.

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. What do you get when you throw a dozen flying pieces of paper, a writer, a cyborg, a bookish tsundere, a steampunky clockmaker, a photographer, and a gay guy on a bicycle together? BOOM you get a story. These 6 boys happen to cross paths one rainy afternoon when one of them has their writing blown out of their hands and all across the street in front of a coffee shop. They gradually begin to learn more about one another while they wait for a bad storm to pass and experience a rather nerve-wracking event in the process. Later in the week, Ace, the cyborg hacker (and one hell of a chess player) receives an email from an old friend and learns that a virus is being spread rapidly throughout the nation that's heavily reliant on technology. The government and almost everything that's based on technology is being corrupted and there's only one facility that can put a stop to it before everything goes up in flames. The group is called upon to assist in the process since they each have their own unique abilities to put to use. No one knows if they'll be able to get rid of the virus in time or if they'll die trying. Who knew a few pieces of paper could do so much to 6 random strangers.

They say what's in the past keep it in the past but I wanted to know all about my past. It was things that I didn't know and that I wanted and needed to know! But my life turned upside down when my past is exactly what I should have left alone. Now if you ask me how it all began, I don't exactly remember but I know it started when I moved in with my grandma who I haven't met in all my twenty years of living. I have been in and out of foster homes since I can remember, living with families I knew nothing about. Being the outcast and them constantly asking me what's wrong because I simply did not speak. The only thing that kept me sane was my good grades throughout school. I got the satisfaction of doing the one thing that people kept telling me over and over I couldn't do. I stayed to myself and graduated high school with honors, getting a full-ride scholarship to any college of my choice. Of course, by having this accomplishment, it didn't make it any easier for me between my foster families. To them, I became the girl who was better than them. But I didn't care because when I turned twenty I finally got to start making my own choices. This is where I wonder if the first choice I made was the right one. The first choice I made was to go live off-campus with my grandmother during my first semester in college. I ask myself how could I be so stupid? But you will see just how stupid I was. Or was I?
