Astrid is a girl who lives in small town Spencer West Virginia, she's lived there her whole life. Her dad left her mom when she was five. She has no siblings, and her mom is now a weed adict. She is surprised when the police show up and bring her to her father's house whom she has not seen for eleven years, because her mom is smoking so much pot it's not healthy for Astrid to be around.
