Kate McCullen hated moving to a new school for a year as much as dogs hates cats; a lot. She quickly becomes an outcast, but she couldn't care less. All she needed was her mother's diary, which helping to guide her in life.

Wanting nothing more than to go back home to her friends and crush, Logan Jameson; she hatches up a plan to make the most of the year. 

Get along with a girl named Marissa, win Marissa's friend's heart, dumps him the at the End of School Party and is back to where she belongs in no time.

But when plans change, and unexpected visitors come, will Kate be able to cope? Especially when she starts becoming confused, because of her feelings for Logan- and Luke.

Pretty soon, her mum's diary may be the only thing she has left...
