Against Me

"Don't leave me..." His voice croaked. His sea blue eyes gazing upon me as tears began to form, I smile sadly at him for he was the only person who understood me.

"I'm sorry Austin," I said turning around to walk away.

"I love you," I stopped in my tracks, I sucked in a breath before facing him. What?

"I'm sorry...I can't return those feelings," I muttered, a tear fell down his face making my heart ache.

"Why are you leaving?"

"Call me pathetic and selfish but it's for the best, everyone here doesn't want me here and I don't want to ruin your life as well."

"Just hear me out Layla, I love you no matter what," he finally was able to smile before wiping away tears from his cheeks. I smiled back and turned around to leave, tears began to fill my eyes and my heart started aching me as if thousands of knives stabbed it."I love you too," I whispered hoping he didn't hear me and I began my way leaving the school for the better.
