**The only reason this account hasn't been deleted is because you guys really, really like this fic for some unfathomable reason. Sorry, I know, I kept saying I would come back. I won't. But the unfinished story is still here, for anyone who wants it.**
Once, there was a lonely girl who lived in the shadow of a monster. She wasn't sure at times where the shadow came from-outside herself or within her. This girl believed she was nothing special, a freak, a nobody to be locked away where no one could find her. She believed she was worthless, a burden, a pathetic child.
Little did she know, she was so much more. Eventually, this girl is rescued from her life of abandonment, of abuse, of pain, of loathing and of self-hate. She is pulled from her cruel environment and placed in a school that is, quite simply, magical. There, she finds so much more than she ever dreamed she would-friends, love, laughter, light and life.
But, is all as genuine as it seems?

She was tired, she was so bloody tired of it all. From the constant nagging and picking and pulling to the waking up at 6 am everyday to do that stupid crap. She didn't think it was stupid really, she just didn't like having to do it. She didn't really like having to do schoolwork either, but she found herself to be fond of the teachers and the curriculums. Most of all though, she didn't mind being at school all too much because it kept her away from the house. She found James to be nice, and Sirius to be troublesome, Peter was quite thoughtful, but Remus, he was kind to her. She had found that Remus was her favorite of them all, he was really very kind to her. What she had really come to see though, was the fact that he had scars too, and that meant they matched. Mature content. There are certain parts of this story that I will put a trigger warning before but you should keep cautioun when reading because I mention a lot of triggering things and topics in this book including self harm, abuse, mental illnesses etc. Also, the first year is really shitty writing and like the first part of fourth but I swear it gets so much better. I just haven't gotten around to editing the bad bits yet :( Credit to J.K. Rowling for the characters and parts of the plot and obviously Hogwarts fandom and Everything Harry Potter related. She has no idea why she has nightmares about a deer, black dog and rat or why she has all these strange memories of older versions of herself and the annoying Gryffindors she's supposed to hate. After all, being a Slytherin comes with some prejudices. This story will take place during the marauders time at Hogwarts, all seven years and a few years after, during the war. As you will notice, I made a few alterations in this story that aren't aligned with the original one, but you will soon discover it's way more interesting to change the timeline a bit and put Lucius Malfoy and Ballatrix Black in the same school as the marauders.Complete
