I sit on the back of the fire truck in a complete daze, scared out of my mind. I almost died today, the same way my parents did. The sense of deja vu is unreal and I can't seem to shake it. A jacket is placed around my shoulders and someone grabs my hand. I don't have to look to see who it is, because I know. Tingles shoot up my arms and my body is set a blaze, Eli. This man has set my world on fire, and this isn't a fire he can swoop in and save me from, there is no escape. He sits next to me and crushes me to his side, and I know without a doubt that I am safe. I am home. This man wouldn't let me escape even if I wanted to. Question is, do I even want to?
