Sans and Toriel have been married for about 5 years now ever since Frisk saved them from the underground. They live with none other than their adopted child Frisk, as well as one of their own, Ash. The skelegoat and human play together out in the garden, and the married couple can't help but remember two other children long ago. But when troubled times bestow upon the family as well as the region, Toriel and Sans must seek help from their friends, while the siblings must be sent to a distant country away from their parents. The children must adapt to their surroundings, try and survive as best they can, until they can go back home.
