How did I get myself into this mess? I thought as I ran through the dark forest, to afraid to look behind me. "Why didn't I just listen to Robin? Why do I always have to be a hero?"
I heard a branch snap behind me, signaling that my pursuer was catching up. I couldn't let him catch me! what would happen to Mom and Charity if I was gone?
I heard the sound of wind rushing by me followed by heinous laughter. I skidded to a halt in front of the looming figure, his presence overwhelming. I tried to scream but Only air escaped my lips.
" Oh Alex. why do you insist on running? You are mine now." He chuckled darkly. I kept trying to call for help, but I couldn't breathe.
" If I cannot have you" He hissed as he grabbed my neck. I struggled against him but there was nothing an unarmed human like me could do to him right now. He lifted me up with ease, I continued to struggle but could feel myself slipping into the gentle veil of unconsciousness. " Then no one can"
