Clare's determined to find the connection between the missing area women in the hopes of uncovering the serial killer who abducted them.  Clare's former love is assigned to the investigation and returns hoping to capture her heart.

His reappearance causes relationship problems for Clare.  Her fiancé doesn't want her to have anything to do with her ex.  Clare refuses to have anyone dictate to her who can or cannot be her friend.  

As her personal life starts to fall apart, Clare finds herself embroiled in the search for the serial killer after she becomes his next target.
