Ever since I was a little girl, promises have dictated my life. Promises with my parents, cousins, friends. It facilitated friendships, challenged me and encouraged self-love and growth. Aside from the common day agreements that I would make with people, there were three specific promises that I hold dear to my heart.

I promise to wait for you to catch up.
I promise to become one of the best chefs in the world.
I promise to make you proud.

These promises have been and are still the main sources of motivation in my life. They serve as the foundation from which I will thrive and flourish.
