Nothing exciting ever happens in the sleepy, seaside town of Baron's Cove.  That is until Lacey Rivers wakes up one morning to find her mother dead by her bedside. Death my drug overdose, they pronounced. Suicide.  Her best friend doesn't know how to talk to her anymore and all the people in town just whisper behind her back.
