Two sisters, Lizzy and Meagan are left at home alone for the day while their father is at work. The girls fool around and enjoy their time, until a random knock at the door disturbed their meal. The girls soon discover that nobody knocked, but there was a huge box right in front of their door. The girls slowly dragged it inside and when they opened it, at first they saw nothing, but then Lizzy found a golden, shined key laying at the bottom of the box, untouched. When Lizzy pulled the key out a small, old letter followed. The letter read: This golden key in front of me will lead you to another key and with that key you will seek an amazing discovery. Here's a clue that will help you to find the second key. High and low, low and high you will find me in the sky I do not fly, but I can see the world from a high. When you find me I posses the note that will put you to the test.

So begins the peculiar message found slipped under a bedroom door on the morning of May first. Theo is the heir to a powerful dictatorship. The number of people allowed to know he exists is few. He has spent his entire life walled up in the Tower, the looming stone monolith from which his father rules over the Land. Merryn is the daughter of political prisoners. She's known who Theo is longer than he would think possible, and she is taking a great risk contacting him via handwritten notes in order to convince him he deserves more than the fate his father has designed for him. She has one month to exchange daily messages with him, to answer his questions and open his eyes to the realities of a world he has never been allowed to see. A revolution is coming to the Land at the end of the month, and if Merryn's notes fail to get their point across, Theo may never live to see the sunrise on June first. A/N: The following letters were originally published each day from May 1st-31st, 2014. As you will see,Theo is allowed to write down a question for Merryn each evening, but you, the reader, won't see these within the body of the story. It may or may not be obvious from Merryn's response what Theo is asking. Part of the fun is guessing what his questions might be, but if you really want to know what they are, a list of those questions is at the end of the story. This story is a re-imagining of Rapunzel. Now, without further ado-I believe a young heir is about to unfold a slip of paper found on the tile floor near his door... Let's see what it says!

The famous singer/songwriter, Elena Matthews, is forced to take a one year leave from her career when her sister's previous school shuts down. Her sister decides she wants to enrol in a public school, something she has never done before, to know what it's like to be a normal high school student. What she doesn't know is that Elena has spent the last two years of her life hiding her worst fear from her family. She has secrets no one knows about, secrets she's been hiding to keep those around her safe. However, what Elena least expects is for her two worlds to collide all because of two boys she meets at school. * * * Elena headed towards the door. She was about to turn the doorknob when his next words froze her in place. "How do you think you'll sister will react if she finds out what you do?" asked Lucas. She slowly turned to face the two with a raised brow, "Meaning?" "Think about it," urged Cole, "How do you think everyone would react if they found out what you do during your spare time, especially your sister." She narrowed her eyes ."Are you blackmailing me?" she asked crossing her arms and raising her chin. "No, I never said that." Cole held up his hands yet grinning mischievously. "We're just saying that it would be in your best interest, along with ours if you joined us." shrugged Lucas. "You can't prove anything," she bluffed. A devious smile speared across Cole's face while Lucas grinned wickedly, "Oh, we both know you don't believe that." ------------------- The events and places are completely fictional along with the characters. The banging starts again but this time a lot louder. I can hear the girls screaming up stairs. I pick up my phone and dial 911. "Hello this is 911 what's your emergency?" "There are a bunch of wolves outside my house. I think they have rabies or something I'm not sure." The banging gets louder and I can feel my face getting wet from the tears. "Mamm did you say wolves are there?" "Yes Yes there are wolves about 10 of them out here in my front yard. I need help!" I hang up the phone and sit on the end of the stair case. I close my eyes and start praying. Something I haven't done in a while. "I have faith, there is a god. I have faith, there is a god, I have faith, there is a god." I repeat over and over. The glass breaks and I start screaming. I stand up and try to scramble up the stairs. The door comes falling down and there are about 10 wolves standing in front of my door. A woman emerges and walks toward me. She snaps her fingers and the pretty brown wolf is in front of me. Right there by my face. "Ridanna you know what to do." Her teeth is wrapped around my neck and she sinks them in. I try to scream but it's hard to. At first it hurts but now the pain no longer exists. I feel like there is no such thing as pain and I feel light as if I can float off the Earth. Fine as hell white boy with a pro-black activist fall for each other. Cherise Miss Activist doesn't want to date Zaire the fine as hell white boy not for his race but for his secrets. What if he had a past he didn't tell you about and the only way you found out is because the past came to kill you? And I'm not talking werewolves and vampires. Cherise would only wish for problems for they would be so simple compared to hers and Zaire's. If any woman found out Zaire's secrets they'd take off running to the nearest police station or they end up in a body bag in the end. Depends....which will come first?
