The Chartres Melody
This is a story between two characters, a mother and adopted daughter, named Josephine and Minette.
This piece coincides a perfect balance of emotion, intrigue, and youthful discovery, taking place on the outskirts of Chartres, France, where a Minette, the daughter of Josephine, will entice an audience of spectators. She sings atop a balcony that is raised and juts out of the Chartres Cathedral. She beholds herself in youth, and presents herself as a soprano to an unaware and aware audience of watchers.
Men fall in love with her song and her call, and conspiracy follows her upon the path to her own discovery; and that discovery is of her inner self. She wishes to comprehend what she is ignorant of, though creates followers that are unpleasant.
Follow her on what drives a young woman named Minette, into the city of Chartres to be lulled to its famous cathedral. See her, yourself, make of herself a song that allures the appreciation of a voice, and also the appreciation of a form.
