Snakepaw has always been a pretty cool cat. He has a great relationship with his sister and adores his parents. It looks like he's going to have a pretty good life - get a mate, have kits, and raise a family. But there is one catch; he's gay.

After tragedies happen, Snakepaw retreats inside a shell, not talking to anyone. If he does talk he ends up snapping, hating to be around any other cat. He is called a freak. He hates himself. He starts to wonder if all the pain is worth it.

But when he developed a crush on a certain tom, and that tom is friendly towards him, Snakepaw wonders if this is his true love - the cat that he's been searching for-for his whole life. Will his Cat save Snakepaw from the hole he has buried himself in, or is Snakepaw too deep to be rescued!
