Captain America: Love in a Time of Loss
In the wake of Thanos's genocidal victory, the world is in mass mourning. Never one to concede before, Steve Rogers is left with no choice but to pick up the pieces of a shattered life. Haunted by his failure as well as the ghosts of those he lost, Steve is silently falling apart. In search of purpose, he finds solace in group therapy and pours all of his focus into being a source of strength for others- something he knows how to do all too well.
Kyle Hensley lived much of his life alone until finally finding a family. But with the snap of a finger, Thanos took this from him. Reeling from the heavy loss, Kyle enters a place of isolation and grief until eventually finding some some kind of sanity in group therapy. It's here that he meets Steve. Surrounded by grim reminders of what they've lost, they turn to each other for comfort in a world that is no longer familiar to either of them
Chronologically, this story takes place between my stories Avengers: Destiny Arrives and Avengers: Whatever it Takes.
