"Tyler, stop," I choked out quietly, and he stopped walking. 

A dry chuckle came out of his mouth as he turned in the door frame. His icy glare met my watery eyes. "I'm done with this Avery. I'm done listening to you saying that. I shouldn't have to worry about my girlfriend fooling around with my best friend. I shouldn't have to watch your every move. I shouldn't have to act like all of this is perfectly normal anymore!" His breathing became more hollowed and his voice came out quieter. "I don't even know who you are anymore Avery."

Avery Carter had always wanted to leave her small town in Florida, and the summer she graduated high school, that's exactly what she did. Avery and her best friend, Bailey, ditched town two days after their graduation and roadtripped to a busy town in a busy state.  Despite her parent's divorce at age seven, Avery has grown up with a good head on her shoulders. She knew that bad boys left bad heartbreaks, and good friends were hard to come by. But life is full of mistakes, and this city seems to be the reason for all of hers.
