Story takes place after the Kira case, when a new case arises. 

(y/n) (l/n), one of the smartest girls to live and Near's life long 'friend' and competition, becomes the prime suspect in the boy's newest case. 

Once travelling back to England, Nate River begins to investigate the new killings and crimes sweeping through England, claiming many lives. 

The emotionless detective stumbles upon a file of one of the prime suspects, (y/n) (l/n). A mysterious character whose intelligence could challenge his own.

Will old feelings of a so called friendship creep up once more? How will investigating his life long friend affect their relationship? Or will new feelings begin to arise?

(I have based the characters off the anime as I have not read the manga yet. Also, Matt and Mello are still alive! Yay!)
