Two Broken Souls

6 parts Ongoing Mature

In the small town of Oakwood, seventeen year old Brianna Montgomery finds herself having to navigate her life after a traumatic event left her with an overwhelming PTSD, haunting memories, and a broken family dynamic. Emotionally isolated, she encapsulates her pain within a facade of strength, despite the support of her two best friends. Having to recover from her recent heartbreak and having to face her reality every day, she crosses paths with someone she barely knew existed, but certain circumstances lead her to take a dislike to him. Matthew Sinclair bears the weight of his troubled past caused by a secret known to little. This shaped him into a character that appears mysterious and reserved, and he has the belief that he doesn't deserve to be loved because of his past, which piques Brianna's interest. These circumstances lead the two to being forced into spending time with one another, but this may be a good thing as the more time they spend together forces to the two see what's really beneath the surface. Burdened by their trauma and secrets, the two slowly navigate through their shared pain, encountering new feelings they've never felt before. However, will this unresolved trauma finally see light and allow them to heal, or will the echoes of their scars keep them tethered to their pain? *temporary cover* Dm for writing editor ♡ Dm for book cover editor ♡
