Blood and Bone

For years, peace has been kept in the world of Earthtree, where people are divided into two branches of magic: bone witchcraft and stone magic. Though the branches have their differences and prejudices, they live in relative harmony, protected by an enchanted barrier from the unnamed and unknown enemies to the North.
Despite being born to one of the most legendary witches of her time, Mhera daughter of Nita has never carved a successful talisman. Her whole life, she's been seen as a disappointment. But after the disappearance of someone she is bound to protect, Mhera leaves her clan to find the truth- about the barrier, about the third form of magic, and about herself.
