In this world the government chooses who you will end up with, with what is basically a nation wide dating site funded by the government. Coincidentally, or not so coincidentally, The Monarchs are always matched with other Monarchs and The Medians are always matched with other Medians. Monarchs think they are better because they are the dominate cast and the Medians are not.
So everyone is confused and infuriated when a Median girl by the name of Avyanna (Ah-Vee-on-ah) is matched with none other than the crown prince of Golacia, Zakin. Also known as the Beast of the North.
With etiquette lessons, learning how to walk in heels, the Queen breathing down her neck, her pushy best friends, the hatred of an entire cast system and the coldness of her Matched, how on Earth is Avyanna supposed to fall in love with Zakin (Zzz-ah-Keen)?
