Astrid has just left Dragon's Edge--forever. Hiccup doesn't have feelings for her anymore, but he's having trouble getting used to life without her. He's incredibly unstable, and it's throwing the rest of the Dragon Riders way off. Snoutlout is bored out of his mind. Fishlegs has tried to help Hiccup, but doesn't understand what he's feeling. Even the twins, Ruffnut and Tuffnut, have stopped pranking people. What will it take to put life back to normal--and is normal even what they really want?
*I do ship Hiccstrid! And also Merricup! But I thought it would be fun to create a new ship, so please don't kill me.
Keep in mind I've only made it through half the Race to the Edge series. :)

You have likely seen it all before, Hiccup gets chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare but instead of staying to try and prove to his village dragons aren't the monsters they think they are, he leaves. Abandons the world he knows for a world of possibility, a world where he can be him, be free.
