slapshot is the story of how a championship high school hockey team falls straight to the bottom after opening their team up to girls. captain jonathan merritt is fine with the idea, but not when he sees a certain girl join the team who's never played hockey in her life. can the team pull through and become the great team they once were, especially with the disadvantage of these new players? or will they fall short, just one slapshot away?
