A century into the future, science-fiction stories of the past continue to reign true, as the world falls first into war, and then into a crushing global pandemic. Not far off the west coast of a battle-torn United States, on a group of islands once known as Hawaii, a corporate giant called New Visions Technology has been working on a project that has taken root in the form of a superhuman girl named Victoria, who begins to realize that power has the potential to free her from the bonds that have chained her to the life she has always known, and that some people will do anything to claim her abilities.
