I wish that were true, because the dark days affected me in more ways than one. For they don't just affect me, or my family, but the whole world.

A secret so spine chilling, life as we know it will change for good. It will shake the earth at its core. So powerful the people would kill for it. It will take us back to the dark days. For my secret is as hot, and lethal as the sun. No one must know. My secret is not ready, or may never be ready to come out.

Katherine and her family had a normal life.
Well, as normal as a family living under a dictator can live.

In her country, Ispum, everything is valued on your IQ. However in Katherine case her IQ could kill.

Being born a commoner, with an IQ as high as her could make her a political rival to the current dictator.

Especially with the threat of a rebellion on the horizon.
