'STUPID' 'WORTHLESS' 'FREAK,' those are words that Dipper pines is very familiar with. His great uncle, Stanley Pines, likes to throw them at him like they are nothing. But they do hurt, a lot. After Dippers parents died in a tragic accident he and his sister, Mabel Pines, went to live with their two great uncles (grunkles.) Stanford and Stanley. Dipper and his sister go to a small high school in town. Dipper is very eager to learn and has an eye on a certain guy called Bill Cipher, which seems to have some interests in Dipper as well.
