Vulcan, mid 22th century. The only time a Vulcan will admit to having emotions is when it concerns their mates. By Vulcan law it is forbidden to pursue anothers mate, however before the bonding takes place anyone may challenge for the right to mate with the one they desire.

When Spock is challenged for the right to mate with Jim their whole relationship is put to the test. Spock will do whatever it takes to win, no one else can have what is his.

Further complications arise when a freak accident leaves several hundred stranded and captured on Earth. 

With this many lives hanging in the balance the Federation are forced to face the only option left. They must take back Earth.

However, they can't do it alone. Who better to ask for help then James T. Kirk? The human who grew up on Earth, who knows the Council and the rebels?

Earth, mid 22nd century. Anything not human is not only shunned, but locked up and either executed in the most painful ways possible, tortured to death or simply left to rot in a cell. All extraterrestrial life know the risks of getting too close to earth, and considering humans are currently content staying on earth and no longer venture into space, earth is simply avoided at all costs. A young Vulcan named Spock searches space for his older brother, Sybok, who has been missing for almost 18 months. After his small ship is damaged he crashes - straight into earth. By some twist of fate he hits the middle of a farm in Iowa owned by young James T. Kirk. Curiosity for Spock overpowers Jim's fear of the Council and as the pair grow closer he begins to recall what his life was like before the tragedy that struck his life so many years before, leaving him completely alone. Maybe, just maybe, he doesn't have to be alone anymore.

After a (very) drunken night of sex, an accidental bond is formed between Spock and Leonard. Jim becomes a confidant, but is sometimes too annoying to bear. How long will it take before Leonard finally gets over his stigma about the idea of being with a man, and before Spock accepts his emotions? How long before they both accept their fate? Later chapters feature: An Earth shore leave with Joanna, Jocelyn, and Jocelyn's weird boyfriend! Sometimes OOC, but what can you expect? I'm not perfect. Jim Kirk gets shot by an automated weapon while on an away misson. Instead of injuring or killing him, it deages him. Now Spock and McCoy have to try and fix it, all while caring for 4 year old Jim. This is made harder by the fact that he is terrified of everyone but Spock. The more they watch and listen, the more Spock and McCoy want to find Winona Kirk and make her just as afraid as she has made her son. There is a brief nudity scene in the last chapter. All characters involved in said scene are adults. There are some sexual terms used. However, I do not believe it is enough to change the rating to mature.
