Venom is a work-in-progress novel taking place in the future. One of the main characters, Fox, has been in a coma due to the wrong dosage and type of medication for a gunshot wound and suddenly wakes up in an abandoned hospital after a nuclear war. She must try to make sense of what's happened and survive in a completely different world than we live in today. Eventually she meets another main character, Jay, who she isn't completely sure she can trust. Further along in her adventure, Fox learns of a new race of people affected by the radiation, called Shifters. It's the Shifters against the Preservers, and Fox has to choose a side- in hopes that she chooses the right one. But Fox is the worst type of dark horse not even she knows she is: an unpredictable, naive one. Will she use her slight advantage for the good, or for the bad? And when she makes her choice will she really know which side is which? Read along as Fox, Jay, companions, leaders, and enemies adjust to their new lifestyle where war is just another day to wake up to.

Sentient extraterrestrial creatures emerged from that meteor and began latching on a family that went to investigate. These creatures were developing symbiotic relationships with the family. They realized their true potential, it started with a drug cartel kidnapping a child. One member decided to try and stop them, they shot him but he got back up. He killed them easily, the family started making a militia called the Klyntar, named after the species name, to fight back against them knowing the police were not helping and heroes were not a thing. Things got worse as cartels now had quirks, but that made no difference. Eventually, they got recognized by the government and were made into a proper military force. Hero's gave a new example, making the Klyntar look like savages. The Klyntar stopped with normal crimes and went on to more extreme ones. They started fighting, pirates, poachers, human traffickers, terrorists, and even toppled dictators. However, things would soon change, when the symbiotes start sensing a dangerous presence coming to the planet, you're still in training and are being sent to a hero school in Japan as cover to stop people from panicking.
