Every princess has their knight in shining armor. Same goes for Serenity Tsukiyomi, an 18-year old Level S pureblood vampire.

There are actually two kinds of pureblood vampires. Level A and Level S. Level A purebloods are vampires that serve as protectors to the Level S purebloods (also known as Royal Purebloods), which are the most powerful purebloods known to all vampires.

Months before the Kuran Estate was attacked by Rido, Kaname, Juri, and Haruka served the Tsukiyomi family as their protective knights. Around that time, the Emperor and Empress of Sora Empire were searching for a fiancé for their precious daughter. Unaware of Rido's evil intentions, they were considering Rido as Serenity's husband.

....That is until Haruka Kuran stepped in and explained the situation and passed the engagement to Kaname. At the age of 8, Serenity married Kaname and Kaname became her protector and husband to make sure Rido did not have the opening to marry Serenity.

However, one night a war broke out in Sora Empire. It was against an army of rogue vampires secretly led by Rido Kuran. Serenity, Kaname and all the other vampires that dwelled in Sora Kingdom fought hardly. However that came with a price. It was believed that while Kaname was fighting, Serenity got stabbed and was believed to be dead.

She was forgotten by all, thought by all vampires that she had died.

Ten years later, she becomes the Tsukiyomi family's representative and reveals to the public that she's alive.
