Vik burrowed his numb hands deeper into his pockets. It didn't offer much warmth, though; the cold breeze could still find its way in through the many holes in his worn jacket. As he walked to his usual place, his feet crunching the few bits of snow that had fallen in the previous couple of days, he decided one thing.

I heard the pound of footsteps coming closer. They where too late. The wind whipped around me making my scarfs end fly in front of me. Everything seemed to slow down as I was halfway from the bridge and the raging current that was I was currently falling to my death towards. I looked up to the edge of the bridge to see a figure leaning over the edge. Their shoulders shook. I suddenly felt guilty. A flood of guilt as I realized that I didn't want to die anymore. That I wanted to see their faces again. I felt tears fall down my face. I was stupid and everyone was going to pay the price for it. I felt a sudden shock of pain as my back hit the water.
