This story is set in Africa when slavery was near its peak.in a land where women have a say along with their husbands, where bearing a child is joyous, festivals are celebrated and men are strong and courageous lives seventeen year old Esi. This is her story. Her story of acceptance, love, royalty and been loyal. This is a story about Esi, a princess in the small village in ancient Ghana who has been arranged to marry Kwame the prince of a vast village which is in close proximity with hers.Esi is what would be known as independent and untamable. Kwame is rather the opposite willing to look past her personality even though he was a bit reluctant.....Though Esi is hard headed she finds herself doing the unthinkable.Could she really be falling for this prince?
