Many thought the plague was brought on by God, as punishment for wrongdoing and sin. Anna was never very religious and believed otherwise. Her father, a merchant and her mother, a good housewife, never did anything to deserve such punishment. Yet she, who did not believe in God, was spared. She could not comprehend how it could be divine punishment. But so many did. Would it ever end?

Peace. Peace? Is that all that humans seek? Ironically, human resources can make peace, but wars are still in and about. Peace is all that one might seek, or that's what everyone thought. After so many battles through history and many more to come, the world will never unite. Some countries will resist and rule the top; some will collapse and find shelters underneath the surface. For sure, only those who will survive are those who will live in the shadows. Some countries decided to change the world by creating the biggest alliance ever known to face the most influential nations all at once. Thus they decided to change the world for good. This is what she was told.
