Xavier Maverick is the prince of Athadia. Even though he is cold and stoic, he is loved by all the kingdom all because of his brilliant mother and father, Queen Thalia and King Derek. He has come of age to become the next king, but in order to do that, he needs a wife. And his parents have chosen the perfect girl: Xavier's childhood friend, Princess Astrid Brielle, daughter of King Abraham and Queen Lexa of the neighboring kingdom: Ivrealia.
Astrid Brielle may be a princess, but she acts nothing like it. She honestly would rather climb a tree or go riding on her horse Charlie through the woods than rule a kingdom. But when her parents wish to reunite her with Xavier and to marry her off to gain a stronger alliance with Athadia, Astrid wants nothing to do with it. She and Xavier have hated each other for 4 years now, and nothing they could say would change that.

With him being the only Arkan left, what would become of the Arkan throne? Without him being married and of no son to take over his spot, what would bece of the little kingdom?
