Xavier Maverick is the prince of Athadia. Even though he is cold and stoic, he is loved by all the kingdom all because of his brilliant mother and father, Queen Thalia and King Derek. He has come of age to become the next king, but in order to do that, he needs a wife. And his parents have chosen the perfect girl: Xavier's childhood friend, Princess Astrid Brielle, daughter of King Abraham and Queen Lexa of the neighboring kingdom: Ivrealia.

Astrid Brielle may be a princess, but she acts nothing like it. She honestly would rather climb a tree or go riding on her horse Charlie through the woods than rule a kingdom. Finally giving into there son they arranged a cooranation ball where he would choose a rich girl with the eddicuuite of a true queen, but nothing could prepare the kingdom for what happens next.
