Clary and Jace have returned from Hell and are better then ever. Still suffering from the loss of his younger brother Alec starts to veer off in dark direction, blaming Clary for his death. Simon who is now 100% human finds himself falling in love with Isabelle who is determined to not to fall in love. As if the problems aren't enough Maryse goes missing, and Alec who is not ready to lose another person goes after her alone. Jace who feels as though its his fault goes against the new Clave's orders and gathers a team of Shadowhunters to go after Alec. But will they find him? Can they find Maryse? Simon is left alone and with the help of Magnus Bane must find the Shadowhunters and bring them back before the Clave arrives at the Institute to check on the young hero's, will it all work out? And can Clary and Jace's love survive the whirlwind of problems and emotions?
