Book 2 in An Assassins Love Saga

Aurora Kenway faces the most difficult and dangerous decisions she has ever had to make. Her husband Edward Kenway, was murdered 13 years ago in an attack on the Queen Annes Square. She had moved her family to the Homestead by Achilles Davenport's request to keep them safe and to train her kids to become assassins.

Aurora takes in a young orphaned boy named Shay Cormac who is the same age as her son Hayham. Haytham sided with the Templars and Aurora knew that one day she would either have to betray her brotherhood or her own son.

"What is a mother to do when there's a plot to kill her son? A mother that has already lost one son to lies, betrayal, and deceit, cannot handle the loss of another." She paused a moment. "A mother would do anything for their children. Even die for them. I've lost Enzo and Edward and so much more in my life to last for ten lifetimes, and I'm not losing anyone else."

"What about me?" Shay asked Aurora in a low voice.

Aurora turned to him and placed a hand on his cheek then pushed his chin up to look at her. "Shay Cormac, how many times must I tell you that you are every bit of my son as Lucien and Haythem is. I'm not doing this only for Haytham, they want to kill you too. And I can't have that."

Aurora Jackson has lost her five-year-old son Enzo and has made it her life's mission to track down the men responsible for his death and kill them all. She joins the crew of Edward Kenway after he pulled her from the sea and saved her life. She never planned to stay on the Jackdaw or to fall madly in love with Edward. She was only there in hope that she would find the men that killed Enzo and after she killed them she would hop ship. "You're not making this any easier for me lass," Edward said to me. "Making what any easier?" "Resisting you." He said back. "Well, then don't."
