Alexandria Cantrell is nothing special. She lives in a normal house, has a normal family, and goes to a normal school. At least that's what she says.

When the Great Flood hits New York, where Alexandria lives, her whole city is destroyed. She and her best friend, Aaron, must fight to survive in a world where they are the only ones left.

But as much as Alex tries to deny it, she has something special inside her. A growing power, and as she and Aaron venture further away from the city, she has to learn to control that power, keeping it hidden from the rest of the world.
