"Then what is it you are seeking?" She asked.

His eyes sparkled with excitement and his grin turned mischievous.

Raven is a young ward raised to be a companion to the Governor's daughter Linda. They grow up like sisters, though both of them know Raven can never aspire to stay by her side forever.

One day while on a ship to England to meet Linda's betrothed, they are attacked by a notorious band of pirates. Raven disguises herself to save her dearest friend from capture, but what will she do aboard a pirate ship where the Captain is expecting to be paid a hefty ransom for the return of a girl who is not the true Governor's heir?

Things seem to get even more complicated when Seth, the witty and troublesome second in command, finds out her true identity and starts blackmailing her for secrecy in the form of kisses and further embarrassing gestures.

Will Raven out do them all and return home safely, or will she be bested by the worst of them?
