Humans turn people into vampires for their own desires. Some vampires are used as like dogs in dog fighting matches. They are trained to kill anything in their path. Mostly they are kept as pets , bending to their master's every need. All the vampires are obedient until Xerxes is captured and sold to Thompson family . Xerxes was created to fight until the death in matches against the other vampires. He shows great resistance against authority. There is one problem. He starts to fall in love with his master,Kyra. She is the daughter of a powerful king. She is required to torment and break Xerxes's will. He must be trained in order to win money for her country, for her country is in danger.
