Mostly they are kept as pets , bending to their master's every need. All the vampires are obedient until Xerxes is captured and sold to Thompson   family .  Xerxes was created to fight until the death in matches against the other vampires. He shows great resistance against authority. There is one problem. He starts to fall in love with his master,Kyra. She is the daughter of a powerful king. She is required to torment and break  Xerxes's will. He must be trained in order to win money for her country, for her country is in danger. If she fails to pay her debt , her country will suffer .How can she hurt who she loves? She becomes intoxicated by his very presence . What will happen if she betrays her duty to her country  by falling for him?Will his love for her be her demise?
