Ranger Gilan and a strange girl named Kai have to track down a group of demon worshippers after they cause a commotion at Redmont's annual Harvest Day. They are led to believe that these "demon-possessed" celebrate a twisted and dark holiday called Halloween. Back home at Redmont, Ranger's apprentice and Crown Princess Maddie and Ranger Halt wonder if Will is going to recover from being sick.
