Samantha Bridge wants nothing more in life than to play basketball, so when she makes a bet with her mother regarding her school grades, everything Sam loves is at stake.

--------------------

Being a freshman in high school isn't easy, but, when Sam makes a bet with her mother, she'll have to do whatever she can to keep her grades up if she wants to continue playing basketball.

Owners of a science laboratory and Harvard graduates, Sam's parents have set high expectations for their kids, but when David faces a change of heart, will the couple be able to reconcile or will their contrasting opinions on how to raise their children drive them apart?

Having watched older brother Nick change from an athletic boy into a nerdy teenager, through the mischievous work of their mother, Sam is now willing to do almost anything to help get her real brother back and stop her mother's reign of evil.

Troubles at school and love triangles cause the two siblings to rekindle their once loving bond and Bridge Goes Further must make a big discovery soon if they hope to keep their sponsors and stay in business.

Will David ever step up and become the leader of the family or will he continue to let his wife destroy the family piece by piece? Is the Bridge family capable of accepting one another as who they are, or will lies and secrets become a natural part of their daily lives?

Read along as a family experiences the ups and downs of life on a path to discovering life's true meaning in Street Smart by Linda Fitzpatrick.

If you're Jade Reamer, you fill that void with writing depressing song lyrics, hanging out with asshole exes, and re-reading your dead best friend's diary (morbid, anyone?). But she's got a lot to deal with-getting to know her biological family, for one. Not to mention getting through her first year of university without her best friend, Nina, by her side. Then there are the men in Jade's life. Her ex, Connor, has baggage coming out of his ass since the car accident. Her brother, Bryn, thinks stifling who he really is while pretending everything's okay ... is okay. When that's far from the truth. And Reed? Reed decides the best way for Jade to deal with his absence is to get her a dog. And when he finally comes back? Well, things aren't exactly the same. Deciphering between love and hate is the least of Jade's problems ... those four letter words are getting more and more complicated. Especially when she and Reed are keeping secrets from each other. Because as she forms new relationships and rekindles old ones, an unexpected surprise has got Jade's mouth spewing lies on top of the usual curse words. But little white lies won't hurt anybody, right? Note: This story contains coarse language and mature themes, and follows the novella, 𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘓𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘴. (ᴘʀᴇᴠɪᴏᴜꜱʟʏ ꜱᴇʟꜰ-ᴘᴜʙʟɪꜱʜᴇᴅ)

Nicky Peters sets out on an emotional roller coaster when she creates a melody from an old high school journal entry which develops into her debut song for her second album. Her personal and professional life become quickly complicated when she finds herself standing in front of the one person she thought she'd never see again, the same person who unfortunately understands all too well who Nicky's hit song is really about...him. ******** Nicky Peters' rise to fame in country music was fast, being plucked out of obscurity at seventeen after her YouTube videos went viral. After she pens a very personal song from one of her old high school journals called, "Honestly," for her much-anticipated second album, she realizes her feelings will be under a microscope for the whole world to see, including Nate Stanton, her ex-best friend from childhood. He also just happens to be the one person who truly understands the meaning behind her heart-wrenching song. What happens when fate brings her face-to-face with the boy she thought she'd never see again? Nicky quickly realizes airing her emotions out in public via a number-one, hit song can make things complicated fast. As Nate and Nicky reconnect and navigate through their past, truths are revealed, assumptions are at an all-time high, and a publicity nightmare looms which jeopardizes all she's worked so hard for. While Nicky's misfortunes add up, she realizes fame comes with a price. She begins to understand the cold, hard facts, keeping her career intact as country's "it" girl and maintaining a personal life may be more difficult than it sounds, especially when you're living through a public scandal.

"You should care, Dylan. You would still be living in the back of a car, stealing from Seven Eleven! Is that what you want?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The "Four Musketeers." That's what they called them. If they weren't all together they were two on two. And they give zero fucks about life. The Adopted one The Bad boy The Player The Best friend Dylan is like most troubled girls. She doesn't care about her grades, she skips school, hangs with the wrong crowds, and hates her parents. But of course there's a reason for all of this. Dylan is adopted. Dylan has always struggled with being adopted and she tends to fight everything in life. Many bad memories cause her to be the way she is. She desperately wants to forget her past, including some bad things she experienced, but the memories stay stuck in her mind. Dylan has three best friends who help her get by. The only three people she 100% trust and doesn't like to. They all have their own problems and lies they tell, but they help each other through it all. Especially her boyfriend Vince, who would do absolutely anything for her. He would die a thousand times over before anyone hurt Dylan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Dylan's not just my whole life, she makes my life whole. Some days she's the only reason I get out of bed. Without her in my life there is no point in living. She's like the air I breathe. Without her I can't live. She's my best friend and I will love her to the day I die." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This summer Dylan gets the opportunity to do what every guidance counselor has claimed she's always wanted to do . . . split up her family. Will she realize splitting up her family won't help anything? Or will she just not care? After all she was abandoned once. Jenna thought Glasgow was a second chance. Turns out, it's a 40 year experiment, and she's the variable they never saw coming. Jenna Hollins craves a quiet life. She's deaf. She's burnt out. And thanks to her brother, she's been dragged to a cozy Virginia town where the people are warm but wary-like they're throwing seasonal festivals to distract from something darker. Cyrus is steady. Charming. Protective. The boy who helps her navigate the life she never asked for. But when she starts slipping at home, and at school, the person who shows up isn't Cyrus. It's Nicholas. Cyrus's older cousin and best friend's emotionally unavailable brother. The one they all warned her about. Nick tells her the town isn't what it seems. That if she wants the truth, she'll have to stop trusting the system, and start trusting him instead. As the pressure builds, Jenna is forced to choose between two versions of safety: The boy who pulls her closer as she breaks, but won't speak the truth aloud... Or the boy who betrayed the people he loves-but trusts her with a secret that could destroy everything. **** ✨ Tropes / Themes: • Slow burn triangle • Disability rep (deaf MC + cochlear implants) • Found family & sibling bonds • Cozy and quirky small town vibes. Think Gilmore Girls if Stars Hollow had deep-rooted secrets • Academic pressure, mental unraveling • Quiet dystopia in a contemporary world
