This takes place after the events of Pokemon Y and its postgame. Serena has saved the world from Lysandre's misguided intentions, but as we all know, heroes never get a break. The story is kind of about me, because Serena's appearance is based off my Pokemon Y trainer, and her personality is going to be much like mine, along with Pokemon nicknames being the same as the ones from my Pokemon Y game. Note that Pokemon colors are independent of canon, and the only notable ones are Pedigrees, Pokemon that use canon colors, and Shinies, which are self-explanatory. There's also some twisted version of Team Flare that picked up the pieces and decided to experiment on Pokemon and do terrible things to them.

The Journey of A Champion: A Pokemon Fanfic
Unova, a region where hundreds of Pokemon are still undiscovered and a year before the immoral Team Plasma threatened the peace. Due to the Hero and his friends' valiant efforts the evil organization was disbanded; members scattered across Unova. Now, Professor Juniper has come back from her journey of assisting the new champion to an eager young girl, one whose Pokemon journey was put off for years by the events, Riley. And the minute the professor returns she's out the door. As her journey begins, Riley meets a young boy who's labeled himself as a failure, but refuses to accept her help or convenience her with respect. They reluctantly travel together and Riley becomes aware of a name being used to refer to her: Champion, though she hasn't won any gym badges or done anything special. Meanwhile, in the shadows, Team Plasma reorganizes, gaining strength under corrupt Sages and officers and led by Ghetsis. The team preaches a new direction, but the same motives added to a more "direct" and violent approach. It searches for objects it's lost and powerful members who've fled; all the while planning a destructive and unstoppable endgame, eventually crossing paths with Riley. The new trainer sees Team Plasma's vile actions and builds up a hatred for it, becoming determined to stop them whenever they meet while continuing THE JOURNEY OF A CHAMPION.
