All humans once lived in the ocean, the people who wanted land abandoned the ocean. The humans that lives in the ocean has Ena on their skin which allows them to breath underwater, the humans on land don't. Hikari, Manaka, Chisaki, and Kaname were all friends who lives in the ocean in Shioshishio. The school they were currently attending closed and they had to go to school on land, there they meet tsumugu, miuna and sayu, once the ofunehiki starts the 4 all go to sleep for 5 years and once they awaken what happens to the story of the 4 friends.
