Opposites attract. Right? Love stories claim that there is no truer phrase. That there is nothing more romantic than two people discovering each other, realizing they don't hate each other as much as they thought they did. Real life shows that it is a little more complicated than they want us to believe and to be cautious. Jennifer and Destiny, on the other hand, think that feeling that kind of attraction is nothing but a torture, a curse. Just a bad twist of fate. Yet that is exactly how their story began. With a terrible accident and two pairs of eyes lost in each other for a second too long. Just enough to set off a spark. Love stories would say that the spell is fulfilled, the attraction is born and a happy ending is assured. Real life would suggest staying grounded and not getting overwhelmed by passion. Jennifer and Destiny think it would have been better if they had never met.

Alex has been looking for a sign from the universe. A sign to tell him that he needs to keep fighting. To live on for his brother who died in a tragic car accident. When Alex stumbles across a man in town wearing a blindfold, holding a sign that says, 'You are not alone. If you need a talk or a hug. I am here.' He takes it upon himself to approach the stranger. Was this the sign he has been looking for? - River has been a mental health advocate for three years. With his own demons battled, he takes it upon himself to support others. More specifically strangers. He has always found peace in helping those who suffer in silence. When River is approached by a man who expresses his depressive tendencies, he decides to take the broken stranger for coffee, out of fear of what might happen if he lets him go. River tells him to offload, release all the sadness and frustration he has into someone who knows nothing about him. But when he leaves, River can't stop thinking about him. It's not until Alex comes back a few months later to thank him for listening when he needed help the most. Alex has a lot to thank for his signs from the universe.

All of the signs that lead us here! Depressed State of Mind Part 2 It's poetic and symbolic all of the signs that lead us here! In a moment in time that you can only see in the past tense of life. Like destiny it was meant to happen. It's poetic and symbolic how even though I read you that letter trying to save my marriage to him in the hospital it was you that ended up saving me in the end. It's poetic and symbolic how in spite of a world wide pandemic and lock down we always found each other and healed each others sadness. It wasn't my sobriety that I was scared to lose. It was ruining the friendship and not having it mean a thing to you!

Greetings dear readers! This is my first ever poems book. And um I wrote these all based on my personal experiences. As you may journey through chapters of this book based on my life and events throughout. A little sprinkle of the chapters are fictional but nearly all are non-fiction straight from reality. Hopefully you will love this journey with me. Few of these poems are dedicated to my friends or based on their experiences/point of view. Most poems may contain heartbreak or sad feelings but still the majority of the poems are about love, happiness and positivity. I am so glad that I am in a better place now, looking back on my life just a while ago I was not the person I am today. With the help of people I love the most I have overcome everything I needed to dodge. If you are going through something difficult in life, please share it with someone whom you trust more than anything. Remember being happy & positive is what matters the most truly.
