-She fell for him easily, kind/ sweet/ that adorable smile. She thought he was absolutely perfect . Well that was until she saw him for everything he really was- Crystal had met Michael on a popular social network and they had instantly became the best of friends. They were there for eachother through everything. Crystal had a horrible past, with parents that couldn't care less and friends that lied and betrayed her- I guess you can understand how low her trust levels were. She thought Michael had understood this. He was lovely and always very kinda towards her. It wasn't long before she realised she loved him..a lot more than just a best friend. She hoped he felt the same way and maybe he did...but was the relationship she was looking for really worth loosing Michael as a best friend forever?

For reasons he doesn't even know about, Harry has always felt hatred toward her. It could be because of her eyes. It could be because of her smile. Or it could simply be because she's alive. The underlying causes can sometimes come from unexpected depths after all. The only thing he knows for sure is that he saw her as a rival. To defeat her. To humiliate her. To destroy her. For the first 16 years of his life, he drew breaths for those reasons alone. But then... nothing. They eventually went their separate ways, as change is the inevitability that comes with those younger years. Confronted with this sudden change, Harry had no other choice but to keep on moving forward, and finally adapted to a dull, productive lifestyle, forgetting even the fact that he once bore such animosity inside of him. Until he met her again, that is. Her Lie I Tried To Believe is a short novel about the persisting hatred of a boy throughout his life, the destructive relationship that was born from it, and the consequences he had to face as a direct result.
